Production Background

Melodee's production background has included being an associate producer on several cult classic films (Dinosaur Valley Girls, The Mummy's Kiss), a cable series for The Silent Network and Before La Brea for the Gage Museum in Los Angeles.  She has been a researcher, writer, segment producer and stand-in second unit director in the course of these projects.  She has cast and directed voice actors for many CD-ROM / interactive projects and audiobooks as vice president of Voxworks, Inc.

Performance Background

Melodee is a British-trained classical theatre actress who has transitioned to the world of TV and film.  Enjoying both comedy and drama, she has tackled lead roles in productions as diverse as Abie's Irish Rose,  Equus,  The Taming of the Shrew and  Arden of Feversham.  She had the privilege of appearing in the L.A. premiere of Ib Melchior's Hour of Vengeance and created a new Shakespearean role as the wife of Tullus Aufidius in Coriolanus.

On camera, she has starred in NBC's The Secret World of Dreams and co-starred in The Division,  Freddy's Nightmares and The Jeffersons.

As a voice actress, she has had lead roles in Digimon, Teknoman,  Flint the Time Detective and other series.  Film voicework includes Starship Troopers,  Fist of the North Star and John Carpenter's Vampires.  Her favorite roles have included voice doubling Sigourney Weaver in Alien:  Resurrection and a collection of harpies and Amazons in Hercules / Xena.

Stunt Background

Having literally "fallen into" stuntwork by way of the sword training inherent in classical theatre training (and creating the role of "Red Sonja" in Universal's Conan show), Melodee took it to the next level by training with stunt legend Paul Stader.  Fights, falls, hanging from helicopters and wire flying became part of the picture.  She has doubled Courtney Cox, Stephanie Beacham,  Kelly Preston,  Amy Yasbeck and Mitzi Kapture, among others.  Her credits include The Mask,  Spellbinder,  The First Power,  Rescue 911,  Silk Stalkings and Dynasty.

Melodee is Vice President of Voxworks Ltd., a Nevada corporation providing voicework talent in interactive media, animation, industrials, audio books, ADR - dubbing - looping, and other audio production involving the spoken word.
